The 365 Project – Day 8

Made of 32 photos from iPhone.

Today, I return to the panoramic collages (I’m now dubbing it “panoramage”) with which I began the 365 Project.  This is the living room of our current condo space.  It’s undergone a number of changes over the 2 years that we’ve lived here — from white walls to brown walls to cream walls, a futon leather couch to a stain-resistant beige sofa, a hand-stained IKEA TV stand to a floating white IKEA shelving unit under the mounted TV.  Even the light fixture in the kitchen (above the island on the right side) has changed from its original.  Give it 6 months, I’m sure it’ll be different again.

Very cool! I’m going to have to try this. Did you take them all in one sitting?

Yes. Standing, actually. 😉 It’s very complicated to put together, honestly. If you’re not proficient at Photoshop (and patient), you’ll get very frustrated. What I find interesting is that as long as you have anchors in the pic that are perfect, the brain fills in the blanks and overlooks the errors.

Oh, I’ve put together a few angles before. The hardest was my husband’s arm. He had an old tattoo we wanted to cover, but of course the image was curved around his arm. It was a time-consuming project, but I was able to create the new image over a piecemeal of the other using its lines and shadings. It saved the artist a ton of time and us, a ton of explanation.
